At Pristine Private School, our Academic and Career Guidance Program (ACG)
Empowers students to explore their passions and make informed decisions about their academic and professional journeys. Based on the Career Development Institute (CDI) framework and aligned with the Gatsby benchmark, our program supports learners from the early years through to Year 13, following a progressive whole school approach.
We guide students to become aware and discover career possibilities, and transition confidently into higher education, training or employment.
We aim to nurture confident curious learners, ready to thrive in an evolving world of work.
Students begin to get involved in their career journey through stories, role-play, STEAM, and Enterprise days, students begin to understand jobs and teamwork and connect learning to real world roles and engage in hands-on projects that inspire them to explore future professions in meaningful, imaginative ways.
They gradually move on to identify personal strengths, explore trending careers, and set short-term goals through subjects like science, robotics and computing.
Students at the Secondary level gain clarity and skills to align subject choices with career pathways.
They receive guidance on university applications and admission counselling, and participate in internships, career fairs, and industry-specific workshops.
Initiatives such as Engineer for a Day and Banker for a Day, prepare students for a confident transition into higher education, training, and employment.
Teachers embed career awareness across all subjects through planned activities, while parents share career insights through inspirational videos. Students reflect on choices, take initiative, and shape their future with purpose across every year group.
